    Transition shift during export

    Hey folks…

    After rendering simple dissolves & wipes and exporting the file (by reference or self-contained), I bring the file into AfterEffects CS4. In AE, during the transitions, the image scales down vertically (about 5%) then returns to full size after the transition. The file plays fine directly from the M100 time line, so it’s only happening when the file is exported, then opened in AE. Any thoughts…. solutions…. settings?

    SD footage
    AE CS4
    QT 7.5

    Sounds like some sort of codec mismatch. What codec did you use for Acquire and for Render?

    I’ve got my time line set for NTSC 601 4:3.

    The original footage was an AE comp that was set for NTSC D1 (720×486) non-square.

    Rendered from AE out to the M100 NTSC-720 codec, 720×486
