    Newbie q:
I’m using the push slide transition in FCP and it “dissolves” the images rather than just pushing other clip aside. The dissolving is narrow horisontal “slides” showing two frames at time like a doublevision or something. Is there anyway to get rid of this? It is some annoying default parameter that i cannot find where to shut it off. It is on all transitions. Might be good on live footage but on computer graphix it’s just awful.

    Thanx,

    Maxx

    Maxx,

If I read your post correctly, this could be one of those instances where its necessary to put a black slug on a separate layer beneath the two clips and your transition.

    Here is a screenshot example:

Those are just 2 random images showing the problem since i cannot post images of the actual project.

You seeing the interlaced fields. Each frame of regular video 2 fields. Try a de-interlace filter.

I know interlacing. De-interlace filter does not help. This is my first project in FCP. I have made same kind of transitions in premiere and there I dont have any similiar problems.

    Thanx.
