    hello everybody,

i’m new to premiere pro. working with ppro cs5. now here’s the problem: when i make a transition between 2 clips, there occur vertical colored stripes on the right side of the image. i think it has sth to do with the sequence settings but don’t know… please somebody help! thx!

I did notice this when working in SD square pixel sequences. For example 854×480 square, going to 864×480 made it go away. What are your sequence settings?

hey guys thx for your reply!
sequence settings: 702 x 576 (1,09) 25fps p (if you wonder about the pixels… terrible footage but whatever)
btw: i forgot to mention that the problem only occurs with transitions from black or to black. first tried the preset, didn’t work. then tried soft transition with the background black, didn’t work either. so build me a black background in ps, imported to ppro, guess what, didn’ work. finally found the colored mask in the project window, which finally solved the prob. so now it works.
anyway, i’d still like to know the reason for this prob… cause even though it works now, my solution is not very elegant…
    thx!
