Transition… How to.
I’m editing some work and want to do a transition between two scenes that essentially amounts to flickering back-and-forth between shot A and shot B before finally settling on shot B and carrying on.
Is there a in-built transition that can do this or a plug-in?
Failing that any tips on how to achieve this without a whole lot of cutting and dividing my footage?
Also, there are at least 2 iris style transitions that are in Final Cut but both work in the wrong direction for what I want. They seem to go from A starting with B as a dot in the centre of the screen and expanding out until B finally fills the screen. What I’m after is starting with A, B then begins at the outside edges and comes in until A dissapears as a tiny dot in the centre of the screen and B takes over. Remember the cartoons where the black shrinks in around the character until just his head is stuck in the middle of the screen usually resulting in him extracting it with a pop! That’s what I want.
Any ideas what I can do to acheive such an effect? I’m probably missing something very obvious.
Thanks for the help. Great forum!
