  • Transition effect using logo colours

Hello all, I was wondering if anyone can tell me how I can have Clip A transition to Clip B using some or all of the colours in a campaign logo. Ie. the logo has 3 strong bands of 3 colours (yellow, orange and blue). Can cusomize a transition, for example vertical blind effect (I know cheesy, but just for this example) where each blind is one of each colour. I know I can change one colour but then I don’t get that effect of branding the video to the logo colours. Prefferably, I would like to have these individually couloured bands fly across the screen to reveal clip B.

    Please and thanks all,
    T

You’re trying to use canned effects for custom transitions. Can’t be done. You can put a border on some wipe effects and most third party effects but you only get one color (or you can keyframe one color to change into another color).

It’s very difficult to explain creating custom mattes but it’s a terrific bunch of fun. Why don’t you try to explain what you’d like to have happen on the screen.

This is my standard sigfile so do not take it personally: “For crying out loud, read the freakin’ manual.”
