  • Transforming videos as they were been made through pencil sketch

    Posted by Pharhaan on July 29, 2006 at 6:55 pm

    Hi,
    I am a newbea and want to know that how can I transform any video as it had been made throug a pencil sketch.
    Actually I had seen a promo on Ten sports channel that a hockey player taking a ball forwarding towards goal post and all the things around specially a goal keeper everything is made just like a pencil sketch or as any artist has made it. Everything in this promo is animated or moving but with pencil sketch style.

    Somebody tell me how it had been made.
    Regards,

    You wouldn’t happen to have a link would you? A “pencil sketch” could mean different things, different look? I went to teir site, didn’t see a hockey promo.

    hey…actually my intent was not of a website link, I actually saw it on a tv channel thats only the example I can give..(if you have seen it). well…the only question is “How can I make a simple movie clip or shot get converted in to a sketchy style means the strokes of the objects should be like a sketched motion graphic.

    Have you seen the Sketch Actions for Photoshop at Adobe Studio Exchange:

    https://share.studio.adobe.com/

    You could Render your video as an Image Sequence or Filmstrip (flm) then run an Action in Photoshop (that’s why I like the filmstrip, one file no batch stuff) then reimport to AE. Is that the look your after? You might need to Posterize Time to cut some of the jitter.

    Hi
    You could use the Sapphire plug in called Sketch.

    If you own Photoshop CS2 you could do it with a Batch-Action.
    >In AE :Export your footage as a image sequence (jpeg,Tif…)
    >In PS :make your own Action or download one from here https://share.studio.adobe.com/axBrowseProductType.asp?t=5
    >Go to File=>Automate>Batch.Now choose your source/destination folder…
    >Once you’re done with your Action process in PS,reimport your images as a image sequence in AE

    I hope this helps
