    Hey,

This is probably a rudimentary question, but I’d like to set up a disk that I take with me when I go to work on a new client’s AVID. I’d like to bring my USER SETTINGS with me, as well as some preset effect settings, commonly used sound FX, slates, etc.

What’s the best way to make this disk? I know that you can’t just copy .avb files to a CD, since any media on them resides in the OMFI folder, but CONSOLIDATING seems to make a bigger mess, since it affects the pointers of the master clip files, blah, blah, blah…

Anyway, could one of those of you who have done this for years give me a basic step by step? I realize that I might encounter version conflicts from one machine to the next, but how would I go about this?

    Thanks in advance.
