    Hi-

I have a bunch of footage shot using the JVC Everio gz-hd7u camera that I’m trying to work with in Final Cut Pro 7. The camera records to .TOD files. I’ve been transferring in MPEG Streamclip to my editing codec which is DVCProHD 720p60 and the footage comes out looking extremely jagged with shaky moves. It is ultimately un-useable.

When I examine the stream in MPEG Streamclip it shows up as 2064 MPEG-2, 1440 x 1080, 29.97 fps, 25.00 MBps, upper field first. Right away I can tell that the frame size and rate are going to be tricky. Does anyone have any recommendation for ways I can transfer this media without losing an enormous amount of quality?

    Thanks a million.

    Thanks Daniel,

I did a forum search and was unable find anything that dealt with this issue. Flummoxing.
