I use the paint & roto brush tools a lot in after effects. I also do a lot of digital painting in Photoshop. My drawing tablet has buttons on it that are mapped to the photoshop painting shortcuts and they do not translate to After Effects. In AE for example, the shortcut to decrease brush size actually shifts the highlighted layer in the timeline to start at the playhead (or some weird command like that that I’ve never used). I can disable that shortcut in After Effects, but am unable to link it to a shortcut to decrease brush size – which doesn’t seem to exist as a button shortcut in AE. I am aware that the shortcut is ‘Comand’ drag, so for the time being I have set one of my buttons on my tablet to hotkey ‘Comand’ and can do the comand+drag thing to change the brush size. But, for personal reasons, I want to the shortcuts to be the bracket {}[] type shortcuts that decrease / increase in set increments. Any tips would be appreciated.
