    Hello

I shot a project on an FS100 in P2 (instead of QUicktime)
    Clients needs it in QUicktime.

I noticed that in the UTILITES there is a Utility called “MAKE REF MOV” == does that mean this will take the MXF files and convert them into Quicktime?

If not whats a good way to do this? Do I have to hit ORGANIZE P2 first before I do the “MAKE REF MOV” ?

Thanks for your quick response, much appreciated as I need to do this tonight.

    Daniel

Log and Transfer is the way that it is done if you have FCP. Other NLE handle P2 footage differently. The other person will also need DVCProHD codec or whatever you shoot the footage as. this is not a common codec.

Make Ref Movie is for when you shoot as QuickTime and a Ref file needs to original files to play, it makes a playable clip of the entire shoot out of the shorter segments. Does not apply here.

Another option would be to check out Imagine Products “Proxy Mill”. I haven’t used it but according to the website it streamlines the process of doing what you need to do on this particular occasion.

    Hope this helps.
