    Dear All,

I have a major problem with my timeline. I’ve been working on a DV PAL/25fps timeline for my edits and one fine day, something happened and the rest of my new timelines became NSTC/29.97fps. Stupid of me, I didn’t check as I was editing thinking that I didn’t change a thing so everything would remain. So now, some of my timelines are in NTSC/29.97fps and whenever I copy the edit into a PAL timeline, the clips would be distorted. I have changed the settings back to DV PAL but the frame rates in the previous NTSC sequence remains. I can’t seem to change it. My question is, how do I convert the NTSC timelines to a PAL without distorting the edit? Please I really hope someone could help me out. Thanks 🙂

    Hi Eva,
You need to replace all your edits, but this won’t take long.
    Set your sequence in PAL.
You have to go clip by clip.
Set the Play head in the first frame (just use the arrows).
Click “f” (Match frame) and in your Viewer you will have the clip ready to replace.
Just make an “Overwrite edit” in each cut.
I guess that you can “paste attributes” from the old to the new clip, but I’m not sure if this can be a good idea.

after you cut all the clips into the new PAL timeline,
    select all,
and option – apple v to “remove attributes”
scale and distort should be checked,
    hit ok.

the other problem you may well encounter is there may be tiny 1fr gaps between the clips.
but maybe this only happens when you copy/paste from a PAL timeline into an NTSC one.
