Transcoding to lower resolution and framerate before audio sync and edit?
Hi,
I am working with a 4 camera shoot that was captured in 59.94. This was not my choice – just files that were given to me. I also have external audio at 48K. I do not need any of the advantages that the high frame rate gives me.
In the interest of saving disc space and processor capacity while editing, I am wondering if I transcode to 30 FPS if the external audio will still work when I re-sync. I’m trying to do a multiclip edit and I think that the 60 FPS at 1280×720 is too much for what my machine can handle.
If I drop the 60 FPS clip into a 30 timeline, will this take care of itself without transcoding?
Thanks,
Josh
