    Only if you shot with the HPX-3000 camera as AVCIntra. But then your only option is to injest as ProRes or AIC…you cannot transcode to DVCPRO HD. If you shot DVCPRO HD with the 170, 200, 500 or 2000, then it will import as DVCPRO HD.

    But basically no, you cannot transcode. It will import as it was shot. Unless, as I stated, this is AVCIntra

    You can use our “MXF4QT Import” solution in combination with “P2 Flow CM” to quickly and fully automated send the native P2 MXF media to FCP. There is no conversion or referencing done, you’re working on the pure and native MXF files.

    You can then select the clips in the Browser and use the ‘Batch Export’ command to export all selected clips to a format of your choice. The workflow avoids to use Log and Transfer thus you save a lot of time and you don’t need the data to be duplicated.

    I looking at theFCP log and transfer dialogue box, and I couldn’t find where to change the settings pro-res.

    Where should be looking??

    In the upper left there is a little sprocket looking button. Click on that and choose PREFERENCES.

    One setting in the sprocket icon are remove advance pulldown and duplicate frames.

    is this the right one??
