Transcode Presets & Project Tab Info
In the Project Tab, what is “Bitrate” referring to?
Using the transcoding Presets, 9 is the maximum bitrate, 1.5 the minimum and 4 or 7 being the target (depending upon which present you select). Yet my bitrate says 9.2 according to the Project Tab information. How can this be? Am I interpreting this info correctly?

If your file has both video and audio, the excess bitrate is for the audio. The transcode presets only refer to the video bitrates, but the total bitrate is what is reported in the Project window. Look deeper into the settings for the given preset, and you’ll find the audio bitrate- likely it’s 192kbps (or appx. 0.2Mbps).
