transcode in middle of an edit
Is there a good workflow for this?
I’ve begun an edit attempting to edit AVCHD footage without transcoding…and it is just really boggy on my macpro with 20 gigs of ram. The video card it came with won’t run the mercury gpu acceleration…
Thoughts?

What codec/format should I ingest my footage to for editing, in order for PP6 not to choke? Thoughts? I tried to transcode using Prelude to proresLT but, well…it took 12 hours and wasn’t even 1/3 way through finished…
