Transcode HD Ex Footage to SD
Hi, I am working with Ex footage shot 1080/60. We want to bring the clips into an SD project (30i NTSC). Is there a way to transcode the footage with EX clip browser or another program so I don’t have to lay footage to tape or bring into final cut and import a bunch of Quicktimes? I feel like there should be a way to transcode so that the clips can be brought directly into avid media composer 3.0. Usually I use XDCam Clip Browser to set my MXF export destination to our unity and then export an Avid AAF to the desktop. Then I import the AAF into Avid. But when I do this with HD footage it will not play back in the SD project. Any clue on the best way to accomplish this task??? Any help is appreciated. Thanks.
