I’ve got a 3-camera, separate audio shoot I’m setting up for editing.
The audio is from a sound devices mixer with 4 channels, and they are WAV files.

On a previous shoot, I grouped the audio and video as multi-cams and it worked nicely.
I would like to do the same here, and prefer, overall, to get everythign possible into MXF Avid-friendly format.

Is there a way to transcode the raw WAV files from the mixer without turning them into video files?
Or do I just transcode them the same way I do with video material?
Also, is it better to transcode or consolidate in this case?

I’m running MC 7.0 on a macBook Pro Retina.

    Thanks, Dan

I would just import the WAVs. Also, if you rename them before you import, so they have numbered suffixes (filename_01.wav), when you import, that number will become the default track for the wav. This will apply to both autosequencing and grouping.
