Transcode AMA files from 720/60 to 1080/23.97
I accidentally shot part of my footage at the incorrect frame rate and resolution. Most of it is shot correctly at 1080/23.97. When I try to transcode the incorrectly formatted 720/60 clips from AMA into my 1080/23.97 project, I get an error message “Range specified for Dup is outside range of component.” Any ideas of what this means and how to get past it? Or what the best way is to convert the footage over the the right frame rate to match the rest of the video?

Import the footage in a 720p60 project. Then bring the bins into the main 1080p 23.98 project. Avid will adjust the footage to work.

I’ll try that.
But the odd thing is that most of the clips transcoded fine in the 1080/23.97 project.
Just one didn’t seem to work.
Any reasons why that might happen?Dan S.

I don’t know…sorry. But that really is not the best way to go about this. If you want pulldown to be removed right, importing in a 720p60 project is the best way to go.

Would you recommend that I delete all the 720/60 clips I transcoded into the 1080/23.97 project, then re-transcode with a new 720/60 project?

Shane. I was going to set up the 720/60 project to do a new transcode, and I only see 720/23.97 option (no 60fps). Am I missing something?
