Training in Atlanta?
Hey all, I’m in the atlanta area looking for a place to get get schooled in After Effects. I have used a place called Media Technology Associates, and I was signed up with them for the last week of this month. But, Cartoon Network came in and booked them solid for FCP. Obviously that pays more than me and my two After Effects Classes. Though, it’s still annoying when I’ve had that week marked as “booked” for the past month.
So, other than MTA, does anyone know of some place I can get some After Effect training? Google is not turning up a whole lot. I did find the Digitial Film Institute which is led by Jim Kanter (FCP Atlanta Usergroup guru) but it didn’t seem to be functioning as much and no one answered the phone, lol.
Thats all I could find, anyone used anyone else before?

I forgot to mention: It is still functioning, he’s just a very busy person. Yay for email. :D.

hey, im in the same boat. im also in the atlanta area and have had little luck in finding anything to do with AE. ive looked for internships too and i cannot find any; may have to do north or west, seems like california and new york are the best options. if i hear/find anything ill send it your way. and it wouldnt bother me one bit if you did the same…

abram”thanks, and no problem. 😉 I’ve been talking to Jim @ Digital Film Institute via email. I think I might hit him up for the training. So far it’s all I can find.
