Tracking text in real footage

Can you help me on this one please?
I want to do something like this:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VoWlbmuKMic – But it takes to long to render all the colour dots “x”, and i try to select one of the colorful cross but it wont let me select any and there is no red circle.Can you give me others solutions how can i archive that effect on the video from vimeo? My video is filmed by a flying heli drone, so the prespective is similar to vimeo video.

Shorten your work area on the time line. It only tracks whats in that. That should help reduce your time, unless you need the whole clip tracked because text will be on the whole time. You can’t right click on one of the dots and click create camera and null?
