  • Tracking Particles onto a Face

Hi fellow motionographers and VFX artists!

I’m familiar with motion tracking facial movements using AE and mocha, and then going on to either replace faces entirely or add varying effects to them.

But I recently had a cool idea that I’m unsure how to pull off..

My idea is to place particles onto a dynamic motion-tracked face, effectively “sticking” particles to the face movements.

The idea is to track facial expressions and then to conform particles onto this reference, creating an animated face entirely out of particles… or, one could use this technique to add various things dynamically to a face; say, a lot of pimples, sweat droplets, or otherwise strange textures.

Anybody got any smart ideas around this particular problem?

    Thanks!
