I’m tracking picture frames in a piece of video that have tracking marks where the picture would go, so I can replace with footage later. having great success utilizing the AE tracker controls. However, can’t make it “guess” when the frame gets covered by another object, or an edge(s) goes out of frame. I then have to go back in and adjust the corner pinning by eye. and this is inevitably a lengthy process. I guess I’m wishing someone has a trick for “confidence” and continuing to track, also as a wish: I wish you could “shift-select” the corners in corner pinning so the resulting keyframes wouldn’t dance so much.

Try turning on the “Extrapolate motion” option. This is supposed to guess where the tracked object is based on it’s previous movement, allthough im not sure how well it works ive never really tried it. Good luck.
