  • Tracking Issues

Posted by Eamonn Doyle on May 11, 2013 at 12:36 pm

Hey everyone. I’ve been trying to make a bullet hole in the ground using after effects, and am having some tracking problems. I’ve tried using 3D camera tracker, Mocha and the traditional tracker and whenever I parent the bullet whole to the null object nothing happens and the image isn’t stuck to the ground like it should be. I’ve tried every tracking method, multiple pieces of footage and reinstalled the software and still no luck. So if anyone has any ideas that can help me out that would be awesome.

    Thanks

    Eamonn

Here’s a tutorial from Video Copilot which might help out:

Eamonn, you need to provide more details on why your workflow is failing you. Hopefully you will be able to resolve your issue after watching the tutorial that Joe has prescribed. If this is not the case, then let us have details on your workflow – number each step and explain what you did. Then describe as best you can, the result of your tracking – best to provide a video sample.
