  • Tracking for VHS transfer to FCP

When I capture from VHS to FCP I have an audio tracking problem. I’m wondering if there is a way to override this and make it manual. It sounds like a rippling of the audio. It plays on fine on my VCR so I can’t tell until after the video is transfered to my drive that there is a problem. Anybody else ever run in to this problem? Any solutions from a FCP standpoint? Thanks

How are you getting it from the VHS into your system?

I am capturing it from the VCR through my Sony miniDV camera firewire cable.

Transfer the footage to DV instead of using the camera as a bridge, and see if that doesn’t help..

Ok it doubles the time but if that’s what does the trick, I’ll be happy. Thanks for your responses.
