    Hi,

I received some problematic footage that I’m trying to do a screen replacement on. I’ve attached a frame that shows the problem: https://images.creativecow.net/249412/frame.jpg

It’s a static handheld close up shot of an iPhone screen in someone’s hand, but the footage is very blurry and Mocha can’t stick to the screen edges along the shot. I’ve given up trying to track the actual screen area due to the extreme blur, and my goal is to try to just track the entire plane of the phone, paste the tracking data in After Effects and then tweak the size and position of the embedded video in AE. But I can’t get Mocha to follow the black plane very well either. I’d be really grateful for anyone’s advice…

    Thanks a lot!
    Jen

    Reshoot!

More specifically, reshoot with a higher shutter speed (not frame rate) to minimize motion blur.

If you absolutely can’t reshoot (ugh), you may have to track it by hand…
