Tracker: Set point feature not working ?
Posted by Gabriele Turchi on February 13, 2011 at 5:09 pmHaving a power window
On the tracker module
Clicking enter interactive
Clicking delete points
Having the cursor on the image
By clicking “set point” should drop a track point ,and as many as you want on the strategic points you want for the tracker …But when i click “set point” it does not drop a point …
Seems that only the “add points ” (multiple ) worksIs it a bug ?
thanks

February 17, 2011 at 2:34 amThere does appear to be an issue here. Set Point is working for me, but there is an offset from where the cursor is to where the point gets placed. If the cursor is in the center of the image, it works. As you move away from center, the point placement offset grows. It also appears I can’t make a point very near an edge, even if I try to compensate for the offset.
Problem noted.
Can you please verify that Set Point can work for you, if the cursor is near center screen?

February 17, 2011 at 7:05 pmCan you please test that if you put the cursor in the center of the image, how big, if any, the offset is? If you have a large offset with the cursor in the center, could you tell me what Timeline Resolution you are in, and what your source material resolution is? Are you doing anything from default on the input or output formatting?

February 17, 2011 at 8:42 pmhi dwaine,
i installed 7.1.1 and i did further tests:now i have 2 problems about this :
it seems that i have no more shift (being anywhere in teh screen) but sometimes the point does not get set ,when this happen moving the cursour a bit than it does set the point ….
But the main problem is that after i set the point , being on interactive , if i click track forwared , it does not track , it say “no live features to track …”
i tried on Red 2K footage (HD project) and using HD dpx (on HD project)….
so anything i do being on the interacting mode , (even just deleting the deafult assigned points) than the tracker does not track forward…
