tracker greyed out
I’m trying to track a solid to motion. I have the tracking tool up, but everything is greyed out. Under animation on the top menu, motion tracking is also greyed. any help appreciated

It was because there was no layer in the comp to track to. apparently, the layer I’d wanted to track to needed to be precomposed. It had a bunch of keyframes.
