    Hey there,
I am wanting to turn of a video track so I cant see it whilst I work on video tracks underneath it. I have tried clicking the thing that says visible next to the track which is really the thing im wanting, but every time I click it, it comes up telling me I will loose all my rendered stuff to do with that track…. Is there no other way, other than doing clip enable, of stopping a track from being visible without having to do shit loads of rendering every time?
    Cheers,
    Dan

That’s how it’s done. You can turn off the track to see what’s under it and then hit undo when you’re done to restore you renders. Depending on what you’re trying to do, you could also do match frame to see the clip underneath.

But you’ve pretty much got it down.

Also, if you just want to see under one clip, you can right click on that clip and turn off “clip enable”. That doesn’t mess with the render files, but it is impractical if you’ve got a lot of edits in your higher track.

Oops. I just double-checked that and “clip enable” does erase your render file. Bummer!
