    Hi all

This seems like it should be simple and obvious but I’ve spent all morning trying to figure it out with no luck.

I would like to change the anchor point from which text tracks. No matter what I do, it always tracks from the left.

    Here’s what doesn’t work:
    Changing the anchor point
Changing the offset parameter of the text in the inspector
    Using the track text behavior

    Here’s what does work:
I can track from the center (or right) by changing the text alignment. However, I would like to have more options than the left, right or center. Anyone have any ideas.

    Thank you all
    John

By tracking text, are you talking about the Match Move Behavior or one of the Text Behaviors like “Track In”?

    Sorry,

By “Track Text,” I meant change the tracking of the text. Thanks!

Without knowing what you’re trying to do, it’s hard to advise. However, you can make some radical changes to tracking by using the Sequence Text behavior.

Apply it to your text and under parameter, click ADD and choose tracking. From there experiment with changing the Traversal to Custom and the Selection to letter, word, or custom depending on what you’re trying to do.

Using the location slider you can change where the tracking begins from.

Select the text, click on the text tab and change the Alignment from left to center. That determines the point the text tracks from.
