Track Matte Alpha Is Not Working
Okay… this is supposed to be a piece of cake!
I create a new solid layer.
I create a text layer in white color.
I layer the order in the comp as the solid layer being the top most layer, the text layer the bottom layer.
I choose Track Matte in the modes column for the text layer and pick alpha/new solid.What SHOULD happen is the alpha channel of the text layer replaces the white color with the solid hellow color, RIGHT?
Nothing happens. In addition, all my Photoshop files that have alpha channels are not recognized in the track matte alpha option either. It works for luminance, but not alpha.
WHY?

I figured it out… the track matte has to be designated on the FILL layer, not the MATTE layer.
