I’m attempting to make the camera follow and zoom in on a certain student in a classroom scene, but when I parent the camera to the layer with the mask of the student, the movement doesn’t apply.
I’ve followed video tutorials, and yet, for some reason, the camera is stationary; in another attempt, the camera did follow the point/mask, but it was jerky and the layer would jump from one position to a wildly different position.
How do I achieve this? Any help would be appreciated.
Not sure what tutorials you’ve followed, but you seem to have two things going on here. Mocha AE is providing you with a track of the video (you didn’t include that btw). You should now be able to apply that to your tracked footage using Mocha. It’s possible you’ve done that generating Null 1.
Where I can’t tell what’s going on is that Null 1 is a 2D solid, so it only has X and Y coordinates, but you’ve linked a camera’s position to it which requires 3 coordinates. Actually, you only linked to the layer, which generated an error. You needed to link to the layer’s position.
Can you post a link to the tutorial you followed and some screenshots of your comp and we should be able to work out what you need to change.
