Touch focus on Panasonic HC-X1
I’m clearly missing something here…
Trying to use touch focus on an HC-X1 4K camcorder but can’t get it to move focus.I have set the Area Mode to Focus and have Area assigned to User1 (default). When I press the User1 button the mode switches to Area (displayed on screen) and I get a solid red focus area box in the middle of the screen. If I touch anywhere on the LCD touch screen the Icons display pops up and focus does not move.
The manual shows the box as a yellow broken box but mine shows up red. It just says touch the screen to change the area used.Any ideas on what I’m doing wrong – the manual is a little lacking!

I found the problem. The User button has to be set to “Area” not “AF Area”. AF Area is really AF Area Width.
