topography effect, extrusion
Wanted some suggestions on a cool topography effect on a map.
Simply, I will be flying a camera over a vector based image. I wanted to get some ideas about adding some rolling hills or extrusion for valleys and rivers. Can I turn my vector based picture, into something with elevation?
Any ideas?

You’ll need to buy a 3D layer plugin. Try digitalanarchy.com.

You can use card dance to displace an image in z space using a gradient map. it would be a different look, but might be interesting.
