  Top layer transition affects all layers

  Unlike any NLE that I have used previously I have an issue in Resolve where a text layer transition (or any top layer transition) that I use affects the video layers underneath. This has happened on multiple systems where Resolve is installed. I can’t imagine that this is designed behavior. Is there a workaround for this?
