Too much render space (1min>75Gb)
Posted by Jose vladimir Reyes cordero on July 15, 2014 at 3:41 pmOk… I’ve a very simple scene, a minute long. Is it normal that take so much space (75 Gb)?
Or is there something I’m doing wrong?
Can somebody help me with this please?Jose vladimir Reyes cordero replied 11 years, 10 months ago 3 Members · 4 Replies -

July 15, 2014 at 4:05 pmIt doesn’t seem out of line given that you’re outputting multiple passes of uncompressed 720p footage at 16 bits.

Render fewer passes.Or, best idea: Get an external hard drive to render your image passes to. They’re relatively cheap and you will need the disk space if you plan to do any more of this. You will be using a compositing program like AE, to create a composite, rendering out of that and using a compression program (such as the Adobe Media Encoder) to make your final deliverable, yes? You’ll need the space.
