I have a problem with lighting. I’ve created a huge sphere mapped with stars and two ships cruising on the inside. Each of the ships has four thrusters wherein each is a light. The problem I’m having is that the thrusters illuminate the back of the starfield greying a good portion of it out. Is there a way to keep the lights in the thrusters from illuminating the sphere so that it is only illuminated by the sun I’ve created?

In the Lights-Scene-Tab choose Exclude and drag your Sphere into the Objects.

Another option: put your starfield shader/bitmap in your material’s luminance channel and turn off the color and specular channels.
