Too many shape layers
Hi, I have an illustration that I imported into AE. There are hundreds of shapes layers(all of them will be animated shortly) due to the conversion and it’s slowing down the app. I tuned up the the settings for better performance and it helps a bit but what about linking objects? Is there anything I can do about that? Thank you

Do you need to parent link all of your hundreds of object layers in your program? Are you having lag issues with that? Let me know.

I found some useful ideas from your link to linking and parenting. As far as sorting out layers for optimal performance I learned to divvy up my project into separate compositions and have them all linked in the ‘project’ tab. This seems to work for me.
