When I drop a clip into the timeline the audio drops to the 4th channel every time. It also causes a problem when exporting, it gives me an error message saying there are too many audio channels to export.

The audio will go to were it belongs. Mono to mono and Stereo to Stereo. What is your master track? And what are you trying to export too?

I am exporting to mpeg1 and it says “audio upmixing is not allowed to perform this operation” but I had the same issue when I tried to export it to avi aswell it said too many audio channels, incidentally what is the best option in premiere when exporting for internet files. How do I know what my master track is? Do I just right click on it in the timeline? Thanks.
