  • Toggling Audio/Video Destinations?

Here’s my situation. I’m using FCP 7, and editing sequences with sources that have differing numbers of split audio tracks. So generally the amount of audio channels in a clip range from 2-12.

I know you can use shortcut keys to clear and set your video destinations and audio destinations, but audio shortcuts are limited to tracks 1 and 2. Is there any way to toggle on or off all of the audio tracks, so I don’t have to manually deselect or select up to 12 audio source controls every time that I need to add something new that doesn’t correspond with the previous settings that I’ve selected?

If there’s no key that automatically clears all, is there something that allows me to “clear” and then select the corresponding track on the numeric keypad or something like that?

While working in Avid, it was a lot easier to do this sort of thing, and I’d love it if FCP 7 had this capability too. Scouring the manual hasn’t helped, so I’m hoping someone here might have a tip.

    Thanks in advance!
