Toggle transparency
Hello! I am new member 🙂
I already have a question.
I created a simple UI window with a button to toggle on off transparency.
I ‘m just learning. When I search the Scripting guide I see;
app.project.transparencyGridThumbnailsapp.project.transparencyGridThumbnails
First, what’s Boolean; read/write. I thought Boolean was true and false or is read/right the same thing?
How can I tell the function to turn the transparecy on and off?

Hey Jace. What object transparency we are talking about? Where and what you want to toggle on/of? Is it a layer in the composition? If so, do you select that manually, or how it will be decided what to turn on/off?
Or are you talking about transparency in they GUI?

Not sure I completely understand your need, but maybe this will help.
Here is how to turn another layer on and off with a checkbox expression control. I use this all the time to control dozens of things in mogrts for Premier.
In this example, I have an empty shape layer named Controllers that contains a checkbox. I have another shape layer called Square, and in its opacity, I have this:
var cbx=thisComp.layer(“Controllers”).effect(“Checkbox Control”)(“Checkbox”);
if(cbx>0) {100} else {0}
