Toast 8 burning Encore BD Disc Images (ISO)?
The company I work for is using a quad-core Intel Mac pro with the new CS3 suite and Toast 8.0.1, and a Panasonic 5582 BD burner. So far we can burn DVDs mostly OK directly from Encore, with some crashing during write on certain Blu-ray files (we’ve not nailed that problem down yet). Hence we’ve decided to give Toast a try, burning BD Disc Image (ISO) from Encore.
But when we try using Toast to burn a Blu-ray disc using a Encore-made ISO, Toast just spits our BD-RE (Sony and TDK have same results) out and acts as if nothing happened. No error messages, codes, or crashing, just the main user window. Actually it kind of acts as if it doesn’t like the *disc* itself…tried erasing the disc first in Toast, then burning. Funny, Toast keeps displaying that it’s a “BD-RE – not blank” no matter how many times it’s been erased. Is that it?
I have read here of folks using Encore ISOs to burn BD-Rs from Toast. I assume your image contains a “BDMV” file? So, Toast doesn’t support native BDMV or BDAV file writing, but apparently can support Blu-ray images that contain BDMV files?
Anyhow..Has anyone gotten this to work? We’re running the latest OSX, Quicktime, Mac Pro firmware, Toast, etc.
Thanks!
