Toast 11 : HQ Blu-ray compression problem
Hi,
I use Toast 11 and can’t get my final Blu-ray to be any bigger than 9Go when my original ProRes file is 60Go ! Ideally, I’d like it to be around 20Go. I am using all the maximum settings.
Is there a way to solve this or is there another mac blu-ray burning software that will give me more compression freedom ?

Apple Compressor 4.1.1 can encode and burn Blu-Ray disks (very primitive menu) but has settings that are easy to control. Changing the bit rate will change the size.

NOT SURE I’d worry about size as much as quality of the final encode on the disc….a ProRes HQ source file will be sqeezed down quite a bit into an MPEG-2 file for BluRay. Don’t concern yourself with filling up the disc with the file, but rather evaluating the quality of the file that Toast creates.
I’ve found it to be pretty great at creating great looking BluRays running at around 22 mbps.
