Have a 2-camera green screen shoot coming up. Recording using Nanoflashes to 100mbps XDCAM wrapped in .MOV. Ultimately, i’ll have a lot of interview footage: approximately 10 hours.

If I optimize to pro res on import, that is a lot of data! Am I okay to just use the original footage as my source, and only transcode at export of finals? Will I get too bogged down with keying a multicam clip on green screen if I don’t transcode? Thoughts? Advice?

    Thanks as always.

100mbs from the Nanoflash is absolutely fine to use, don’t bother with transcoding

Thanks. That’s my thinking. My concern is editing performance of the 2-cam green screen multi cam clip once I am trying to key it over the background, add titles, color correct, etc.
