To Precomp or not to Precomp?
Ok… I’ve got some 3d layers and I’m flying a camera around them. I’m happy with the first 30 seconds of the amimation and now I would like to do a cross fade and do a few different things with the camera, but I would like to continue with the 3d layers starting where the previous 30 seconds left off. What is the best way to do this? I am assuming that the render time and processor speed would benefit from starting a new comp, but I’m not sure of the best way to do this. It would seem logical that I would want to pre comp the previous animation, but that doesn’t seem like it would keep After Effects moving as fast as possible. Is there a way to grab the tail end of the animation and bring it into a new comp or is there an easier way?
Can someone give me some advice?
Thanks
