    here’s what’s going on
    we have 5 computers
    2 edit bays
    a graphic station
    and a web station
as well as a laptop (wonder of all)

two of these are on leopard the rest tiger (10.4.11)
my partner wants to get a project management system but it needs leopard
is it ok to upgrade yet ?

The only real issue that I’ve heard was with leopard and xsan, but that doesn’t seem to apply to you.

Anyone else know of any issues?

    Russell,

Don’t know what you’re referring to. We’re all Leopard, all X-SAN 2.0. No major issues.

The best kept secret about Leopard is using “Coverflow” to browse media. Way cool.

    [Mark Raudonis] ” We’re all Leopard, all X-SAN 2.0. “

The issue that I’ve heard of was when people upgraded to Leopard when they were still running XSAN 1.0. To do it properly, you need to buy new licenses for XSAN 2.0.

Well, that’s not an issue. That’s an invoice!

It’s made upgrading to Leopard here both an issue and a $6000 invoice. So we haven’t done it yet.

We’re running Leopard 10.5.2 and Xsan 1.4.2 with no issues.

No leopard for me until apple fixes the compressor issues and whatever else is broken as of 6.03

Also heard it works a lot better if you format the drive first and start from scratch on installations…..don’t just upgrade to leopard.

I’ve heard of some people having problems doing that, so I’ve resisted so far.

Leopard looks and runs great here. Compressor screams.

Make sure to do a ground up install and NOT a simple upgrade. Just wanted to second that as Chris has mentioned it.
