I know this must be simple but I haven’t been able to figure it out. How do I save the workspace that I like while in the CS3 Titler program?
It keeps going back to some whacky setup that I have to change back again.

This has been an ongoing issue with CS3. I think Adobe should have released an update for those who haven’t upgraded to CS4, but I guess they didn’t receive enough complaints.

    Here’s a complaint!

It is puzzling that such issues get past beta testing. But then, I test drove a Saturn Astra yesterday and realized that if car companies can screw up a car so badly, then a few software bugs in a major software release are to be expected.

There is always room for improvement!

PS – I am a long time Saturn owner, but I think they are finished.

ahhh, the Astra. I did get to drive one once. It reminded me of a horse carriage, suspension wise.

Quite frankly, I’m very surprized that it wasn’t just some setting that I was missing. To me, its like buying that Astra without getting any seats installed. In other words, THAT’S A BIG OVERSIGHT. And now with CS4 out there will not be any fixes on CS3.

Well, the problem isn’t universal. We had the issue on Vista but not XP. Which in a way is forgivable since CS3 came out before Vista.

But I’m not sure how many users have experienced the issue on XP.

Not sure the seats bring much comfort to the Astra either…

    [Mike Cohen] “Here’s a complaint!

It didn’t get by beta testing…it was reported.

Issues do need to be solved in some order of importance, and they had some things they thought were more important lined up before this issue.

Have you been running the updates? I can’t remember when the last version of CS3 was that did that, but one of the updates fixed it for me some time ago.

Now my titler opens up the way I left it when it was closed last.

Tim, that’s encouraging. I haven’t downloaded any updates. I didn’t realize there were any so I’ll give that a try, thanks. BTW, I’m running XP.

I just went to the update section and I’m not sure if I need one or not. I am currently running CS3 version 3.2. There is an update labeled 3.2 does that mean that I already have the latest?

    Thanks for the clarification Tim.

“Beta testing” is this vague notion I think a lot of us have. It would be interesting to read about the process and what types of things actually are corrected that we are unaware of.

Regarding the Astra (sorry, very way off topic), on the plus side it has heated seats and killer breaks. Turns out it is a German car with a Saturn logo.

Yeah, the Astra is an Opel name plate I believe…

They’ve been around for a couple decades across the pond… I think Ford is moving some models to North America from Europe shortly…
