    Having an intermittent problem where when we open the title tool or try to edit an already created title the system often crashes. It doesn

    CLARIFICATION: PPro crashes, not the entire computer system. We just need to restart PPro to get back up and running, but of course any unsaved changes are lost.

    Well that begs the question, why disconnect it 😉

    Indeed, Premiere uses the firewire at all times to preview video through the deck as well if you use a monitor, so disconnecting in while Premiere is running at all is asking for problems. You may want to check if that is happening if you disable the DV out in Premiere Preferences.

    Try changing your playback setting to Compatible (not GPU Accelerated).

    Thanks, Craig. I think your suggestion stopped the bleeding, but it’s still frustrating because it was working properly and then, boom, it starts crashing all of the sudden. I saw one of your other posts on the adobe forum and somebody mentioned double checking that all the proper fonts are still installed so that’ll be my next focus.
