Title safe area – changing the colour???
Posted by Lawrence Eaton on October 21, 2011 at 2:13 amI’m sure I’m going to be getting myself into hot water here but…. is there any way to change the colour of the title safe area, please? Mine comes up as some jaundiced yellow and it quite simply gets lost. Is it possible to change the colour to say, outrageous red or bodacious blue, for instance? (not that pantone would condone those titles, but they work for me).

October 21, 2011 at 2:24 amGood feature request. It’s not there now, unless you use a graphic with transparency to overlay.
All the best,
Tom

Not sure about Pantone, but Maybeline might like them.

Here you go – you can pick your colours to your heart’s content … I’ve picked some suitably garish ones to get you going!
Note this is an Adjustment Layer effect and should be installed in your User/Motion Templates/Titles folder.

October 24, 2011 at 5:48 pmThanks, Lawrence.
You might prefer to try this newer, improved version (with more accurate measurements than the previous one):
https://forums.creativecow.net/readpost/344/5229
It also includes the option to show a couple of different adjustable grids as well as the Safe Title/Action option – which I always find useful for lining up graphics.
Plus everything can be coloured as gaudily as you see fit! Which is after all the main consideration!
