Do title safe and action safe still apply when working with HD footage that you know will be played on a LCD or Plasma TV in the end?

Even when creating a 16×9 anamorphic DVD that will be displayed on a LCD TV or Plasma do the rules still apply when editing in FCP?

I understand that title and action safe is necessary for SD editing since every SD monitor displays content differently. But HD Monitors?

    Thank you,
    Steve

Yup. Title/Action safe still apply. If you know what TV your video will be playing on then you might be able to test it and see how far you can go, but HD still has Title and Action safe due to the variance in how much of an image the display is going to crop.

Thank you. I just wasn’t sure if HD TV’s had the same crop issues as SD TV’s. I appreciate your help.
