I created a head credit sequence in After Effects.

    1) I rendered the sequence in upper field(to import in FCP). In FCP the sequence played smoothly but the titles were interlaced/jaggy.

    2) I the rendered the sequence in – no field. In FCP the sequence played jerky but the titles were perfect.

    Any ideas?

deinterlace the sequence on import, then render out interlaced once you have the text comped in(with the appropriate field dominance).

We’d need a lot more information to help answer your question.

In After Effects, what are your comp settings? What are your render settings and output module settings?

In Final Cut Pro, what are your sequence settings? How are you viewing your work for evaluation?
